IRFU chooses Teamworks for a better connected Performance Environment

Read Time: 3 mins

The best teams in the world are realising that disconnected systems cost time, insight, and ultimately performance. Teamworks replaces that complexity with a single connected environment; and our Unified Mobile App puts that experience directly in the hands of athletes and staff.

Replacing legacy systems, with a single solution

The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) has consolidated its Athlete Management, Nutrition and Team Operations with Teamworks, replacing multiple legacy systems with a single integrated solution.

As another Six Nations campaign drew to a close in March, the IRFU was already looking ahead to the next phase of international competition by expanding its partnership with Teamworks to strengthen the systems that support its players and staff.

The partnership will see the IRFU adopt Teamworks AMS, while continuing to use Teamworks Hub, creating a more connected high-performance environment across Irish rugby. This also includes the addition of Teamworks Nutrition enabling staff to deliver personalised nutrition and performance support to players, all within a single Teamworks app.

As the demands of international rugby continue to grow, high-performance teams are increasingly seeking ways to simplify complex technology environments and improve collaboration across departments. For the IRFU, expanding its relationship with Teamworks represents an important step toward achieving that goal.

Simplifying a Complex Performance Landscape

Like many elite sporting organisations, the IRFU previously relied on multiple systems to manage different areas of its performance operation. Medical workflows, athlete monitoring, and team communication were handled across separate platforms.

A fragmented approach makes it harder for practitioners across departments to access shared information and collaborate around athlete performance.

The IRFU is bringing these workflows together within a single connected platform. The addition of AMS allows practitioners to reduce silos and streamline day-to-day workflows.

One Platform, One Athlete View

From team communication and schedules to performance insights, the Unified Mobile App connects staff and athletes for a seamless experience across Teamworks products. Practitioners can see all performance data alongside Hub, Nutrition and the future potential of S&C, giving everyone everything, all in one place.

The result is a more streamlined environment where practitioners spend less time navigating systems and more time supporting athletes.

Supporting the Next Phase of Irish Rugby

The IRFU are onboarding Teamworks AMS and Nutrition immediately, with the goal of integrating the expanded platform into its high-performance programs ahead of upcoming international fixtures this summer.

By consolidating multiple systems into a unified platform, the organisation is investing in technology designed to strengthen collaboration, streamline operations, and ultimately support athlete performance at the highest level.
