Teamworks and the Mexican Football Federation Partner to Build a Connected Future for Mexican Football.
Mexican football is entering a new era of innovation, and Teamworks is proud to be part of it. Today, we're announcing a landmark partnership with the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF) to deploy Teamworks AMS across the entire Mexican football ecosystem — from grassroots development programs to the men's and women's first divisions.
The partnership was announced as part of a broader expansion of FMF's Centro de Innovación Tecnológica (CITEC), the federation's technology hub dedicated to improving preparation, analysis, and decision-making for clubs, national teams, referees, and every structure within Mexican football. As part of this next chapter, FMF is bringing on a group of world-class sports technology companies — including Teamworks — to power a more connected, data-driven future for the sport.
With Teamworks AMS now extending across Liga BBVA MX, Liga BBVA MX Femenil, and Liga BBVA Expansión MX—from youth development through to senior teams—FMF is building something few federations around the world have achieved: a single technology platform connecting a player’s journey from their first youth trial all the way to a national team call-up.
We believe the future of Mexican football is built from the ground up. By bringing Teamworks AMS across the entire ecosystem — from youth development to the men's and women's first divisions — we are creating a common language for data, performance, and decision-making, while building greater continuity throughout every player's journey.
That continuity is the heart of what this partnership makes possible. Today, talent identification, physical preparation, medical management, player wellbeing, and performance evaluation often live in separate systems — or separate clubs entirely — making it hard to follow a player's development over time. With a shared platform in place across the pyramid, FMF and its clubs will be able to track that development continuously, strengthening how talent is identified, developed, and prepared for the highest levels of the game.
"This alliance with the Mexican Football Federation marks a historic moment for Mexican football and for Teamworks in Latin America," said Ryan Croft, Teamworks Director for Latin America. "Mexico is already a football powerhouse recognized worldwide, with a competitive league, a high-performing national team, and one of the most passionate fan bases on the planet. Starting today, FMF clubs will have access to the same tools used by clubs in the Premier League, the NFL, and the world's most successful sports organizations — because we believe that those building these teams deserve the best technology available to take them to the next level."
The FMF-Teamworks partnership marks Teamworks' most significant expansion in Latin America to date, and reflects a growing trend among top federations and leagues: unifying athlete management across every level of competition, rather than treating each club or category as its own island of data.
For CITEC, the addition of Teamworks represents the next stage of an eight-year effort to bring data-informed decision-making to Mexican football. What started as a proof of concept has grown into a full technology ecosystem now positioned to serve as a model for the region.
Teamworks looks forward to supporting FMF and its clubs as they build a more connected, more consistent pathway for the players who will define the next generation of Mexican football.
