Australia’s Most-Wanted Nutrition Platform Has Arrived
September 7, 2026 · Read Time: 3 mins
Teamworks Nutrition is officially available in Australia, bringing a purpose-built nutrition platform, and an Australian Food Database, to performance teams across the country.
Australian dietitians have been asking for a purpose-built nutrition platform for a while now, and Teamworks Nutrition is the answer.
The platform brings together meal planning, athlete communication, food logging, nutrition goals, recipes, reporting, and more into one connected platform - giving dietitians more time to focus on athletes while giving athletes more ownership over their nutrition.
“There’s been a real appetite and demand across this market for a nutrition specific platform, particularly with an Australian food database, which this has.”

Proven at the Highest Level
Australia isn't a trial run for an unproven idea. Globally, more than 160 organisations and 620+ dietitians already run their programs on Teamworks Nutrition, reaching more than 67,000 athletes - including 80% of the NFL.
Dana Bielinski, who joined Teamworks after a decade as Director of Performance Nutrition at the University of Colorado Boulder, experienced that impact firsthand:
“When we were managing 450 athletes, in order to provide them the best care that we could, Teamworks was an absolute game changer for us.”
Now, that same platform is available to Australian teams, with an experience built around the needs of the local market - including an Australian Food Database.
More Ownership for Athletes & More Reach for Dietitians
Two Australian clubs have already been putting Teamworks Nutrition through its paces as part of the innovation beta: Carlton Football Club (AFL) and the Parramatta Eels (NRL).
For Alice Sharples, Head of Nutrition for the Parramatta Eels (NRL), one of the biggest opportunities is giving athletes more ownership over what happens outside the club environment.
“It's first and foremost, player ownership of their own nutrition. We only see around 50% of what they eat, so trying to get them to own up to accountability of what they do outside the environment, on their own terms.”

Expand Your Reach Without Losing the Personal Touch
For Emma Fielding, Dietitian at Carlton Football Club, the challenge is familiar: supporting a large athlete population while still providing individualised nutrition.
“It is about tailoring it to the individual athlete, but also being able to expand your reach as well. I think having 85 athletes for one dietitian, it is really difficult to get to all of them to do individual plans.”
Teamworks Nutrition helps dietitians scale that support through personalised meal plans, templates, education, recipes, goals, and communication.
Emma is already using templates to support recurring needs across her athletes - from travel and game days, to preseason and training - creating more opportunities to reach athletes whether they're at the club or home.

Make the Impact of Nutrition Visible
The work of a dietitian doesn't always happen in a formal consultation. It happens in the hallway, before training, through a quick message, or in the follow-up after an athlete logs a meal.
But that work can be difficult to see across the wider performance organisation.
Teamworks Nutrition helps dietitians capture those interactions and turn them into meaningful data - making it easier to demonstrate the impact of nutrition across the organisation.
For Alice, that visibility is one of the biggest opportunities for Nutrition in this space:
“One of the biggest opportunities is making the work of the dietitian more visible. So much of what we do happens behind the scenes, and having better visibility helps the wider performance team understand the impact nutrition has on athletes.”
The result: more visibility into the work happening behind the scenes, and a clearer picture of how nutrition contributes to the individual athlete, and in turn, the performance of the wider team.

Nutrition, Connected
Teamworks Nutrition gives Australian performance teams a dedicated platform for one of the most important parts of the athlete experience.
With an Australian Food Database, a unified mobile experience, personalised nutrition workflows, and tools that help dietitians reach more athletes and demonstrate their impact, nutrition can operate as part of the connected performance environment.
For athletes, that means more ownership. For dietitians, more reach and visibility.
For performance teams, a more connected approach to nutrition.
