It is with great excitement that my Co-Founder Craig Friedman and I share that ZoneIn has been acquired by Teamworks, a global leader in sports technology!

Back in 2017, Craig and I wanted to create a solution that helped bridge the service access gaps that existed in sports nutrition and health. With experience as student-athletes and my personal experience as a professional squash player, we understood how needed this was. Much of our time was spent training and trying to perform at our best, but there was little guidance available on how to manage our nutrition in a truly personalized manner. This lack of nutrition support negatively impacted us both mentally and physically, and our performance struggled as a result. 

We spent years building ZoneIn and its A.I. engine  to help athletes of all levels, from youth to college to professional. Thousands of athletes without a dietitian had access to evidence-based personalized meal planning for the first time as a result of ZoneIn. We eventually expanded the platform into a comprehensive solution that also allows dietitians and kitchen services teams to serve their athletes in ways that are more efficient and custom to each of their unique environments.  

Achieving these milestones was not easy, especially as we have been competing directly with Teamworks Nutrition over the past few years! We both had a lot to offer and presented different and unique solutions for each of our respective clients.  After much discussion we agreed that the time is right to join forces, unite technologies and bring the best solution to the performance nutrition space.

We could not be more excited to now say that we have joined teams!  Craig and I have never been more confident that our mission of bringing best-in-class technology to help athletes and practitioners will continue to grow as a part of Teamworks Nutrition. We are also excited that it will be achieved at a pace and strength that resembles what Teamworks is known for, given their industry knowledge and resources. 

Over the last seven years, we have listened and worked tirelessly to deliver the value athletes and practitioners are looking for. During this time we have also seen firsthand what Teamworks can do for their partners. We thank you for your trust in what we have built, and I can assure you that only great things are ahead for what we will provide with Teamworks.
