Hampton University Athletics has adopted Teamworks General Manager (GM) to drive operational efficiency, enhance strategic planning, and execute in the evolving revenue-sharing era. As the second Coastal Athletic Association program to adopt GM, and one of the nation’s premier HBCU athletic departments, Hampton joins a growing list of programs using the platform to strengthen roster management, optimize scholarships, and gain a competitive edge.

Building Strategic Flexibility for the Future

Hampton is taking a dynamic, data-driven approach to revenue sharing, tailoring plans to its unique resources and competitive landscape. Strategies include exploring diverse funding models, such as donor initiatives and NIL collectives like 68 Oak, managing costs through targeted resource allocation, and building adaptable financial models. This planning ensures Hampton stays nimble and compliant while continuing to support its student-athletes.

“By partnering with Teamworks GM, Hampton Athletics can efficiently manage our rosters and deliver transparent, secure payments to our student-athletes.” stated Hampton Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Anthony D. Henderson, Sr. “Having full control over our platform ensures we can track eligibility, roster changes, and compliance, while handling athlete payments with precision and flexibility as regulations shift. This partnership strengthens our commitment to supporting our students, giving them organized opportunities and equitable revenue sharing as college athletics evolves.”

A Platform for the Post-House Settlement Era

Teamworks GM equips Hampton with the technology needed to analyze data, model budgets, and make informed decisions, centralizing critical operations like contracting, payments, and scenario planning.

Customize how and when payments are made to fit any agreement type or scenario.

“We are proud to support Hampton Athletics in centralizing all of its key operations, including budgeting, payments, roster management, and scenario planning all under one roof,” said Wes French, General Manager of Teamworks Personnel. “As the second CAA program and a leading HBCU to adopt GM, Hampton is setting a strong example for how schools can prepare strategically and thrive in this new environment.”
