The University of South Carolina has chosen Teamworks General Manager (GM), a centralized platform that unifies roster management, budgets, contracts, and payments. With the selection of Teamworks GM, South Carolina becomes the fifth Southeastern Conference (SEC) program to implement General Manager, joining a forward thinking group of innovative programs ready to lead the next era of college athletics.

A Unified Teamworks Ecosystem

A long-time partner of Teamworks, the Gamecocks already leverage a comprehensive suite of Teamworks solutions , including Compliance and Recruiting, AMS + EMR, Nutrition, Influencer, Academics, and Hub. The addition of General Manager brings these systems together under one roof, streamlining planning workflows and empowering program leaders with real-time data to support smarter, faster decision-making.

“In Gamecock athletics, we are always looking for ways to create opportunities to enhance the development of our student-athletes,” said South Carolina Athletics Director, Jeremiah Donati.  “Teamworks General Manager allows us to align our roster planning, NIL strategy, and financial modeling within a single, intuitive platform. These benefits will allow us to strategize effectively, making it simpler to prioritize our numerous and important projects.”

As part of the broader Teamworks Operating System for Sports™, General Manager integrates seamlessly with Teamworks Hub, automatically syncing all roster and athlete data across platforms. This automation eliminates manual processes and ensures that team information remains up to date in real time—giving Gamecock staff more time to focus on student-athlete development and strategic planning.

A Playground to Think Bigger

Teamworks General Manager provides athletic departments with advanced capabilities such as scenario-based roster simulations, customizable player tags, secure athlete payment processing, and integrated budgeting tools. These features empower administrators to anticipate change, align financial strategy with competitive goals, and manage budget operations with transparency and confidence. It also gives programs the canvas to explore their program-building ideas freely and iterate quickly.

“South Carolina’s adoption of General Manager reflects the forward-thinking shift we’re seeing across the SEC,” said Wes French, General Manager of Teamworks Personnel. “With more SEC programs turning to GM, it’s clear the conference is setting a new bar for innovation, efficiency, and readiness for what’s ahead. We’re excited to partner with the Gamecocks as they take this next step.”

Teamworks General Manager is the only fully integrated platform built specifically for collegiate athletics, giving programs like the Gamecocks everything they need to plan, implement, and win the rev share year.
