What to Expect When Interviewing with Teamworks

Read Time: 3 mins

We’re glad you’re considering Teamworks. We know interviewing takes real time and energy, and we want to make the process as clear and straightforward as possible. Our goal is for you to feel informed and prepared at every step, and to have enough information to evaluate whether Teamworks is the right fit for you, too.

Every candidate goes through the same core stages, though the specifics of later rounds vary by role. Here’s what to expect as the interview experience once our team has reviewed your application.

Round 1. Recruiter Screen

Your first conversation will be with one of our recruiters, usually a 30-minute call to learn about your background, share more about the role, and make sure it feels like a strong fit on both sides. Come ready to talk about what you’re looking for and what’s drawn you to Teamworks. We’ll make sure you leave with a clear picture of next steps.

Round 2. Hiring Manager Interview

This is a deeper conversation with the hiring manager about the role itself, covering the team, the goals, and what success looks like. It’s also a chance to share more about your experience and how it connects to what we’re building. Most hiring manager interviews run 30 to 45 minutes.

From there, the process varies by role.

After Round 2, you’ll typically have one or two additional rounds. These may include conversations with team members, cross-functional partners, or senior leadership, sometimes scheduled as a series of back-to-back interviews and sometimes spread across separate sessions. Depending on the role, you may also be asked to complete a behavioral assessment designed to help us understand your work style and approach and/or  a skills-based exercise such as a case study, a technical assessment, a writing sample, or a role play. If there’s a project component, we’ll give you clear instructions, a reasonable timeline, and context on how it will be evaluated.

Your recruiter will walk you through exactly what to expect before each stage so you’re never going in blind.

The final decision

Once interviews are complete, the hiring team debriefs and makes a decision. Your recruiter will follow up with an update in a timely manner. If you receive an offer, we’re thrilled and hope you’ll join us. If not, it’s not a no forever. We’ll keep you in mind for future roles that may be a better fit, and we hope you’ll keep Teamworks on your radar too.

Tips for Success

  • Research Teamworks. Explore our website, blog, and customer stories to get a feel for our mission, our products, and the customers we serve. The more context you have, the better the conversation.
  • Be yourself. We’re looking for the real you, not a polished performance. Share your story and experiences honestly.
  • Treat it as a two-way conversation. We want you to walk away with enough information to make a confident decision if an offer comes. Bring your questions.
  • Accessibility. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to applicants with disabilities. Request for accommodations can be made by emailing talent@teamworks.com.
