In a groundbreaking move, the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) has unveiled a record $385 million investment in high-performance sports over the next 18 months—a staggering 64% annual increase compared to the lead-up to the Paris Games. This substantial funding boost will benefit 70 sports, with 95% of Olympic and Paralympic summer sports receiving increased support. Notably, the investment in Para sports has doubled, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and excellence across all disciplines. 

Technology as a Game-Changer for Athlete Performance

A key component of this investment is the emphasis on technology to enhance athlete performance. For this, the ASC has extended  their system-wide deal with Teamworks Performance to continue to provide a unified Athlete Management System across the Australian Olympic & Paralympic sporting network. Scaled across a network of more than 10,000 Athletes and 2,000 Staff, this partnership aims to streamline athlete data management by providing a consistent Performance & Medical framework to all Olympic & Paralympic sports, whilst providing individual sports the flexibility to customise what is important to them.
